The College has been

(i) Permitted  to  open  B.T.  College  ( known as  B.Ed. College at present) in 1987 by the Govt. of Assam.

(ii) alloted 10 Bighas of Land in Nakari Mouza, Nalkata in 1984.

(iii) accorded temporary affiliation in 1987.

(iv) in service teacher have been deputed by the govt. of Assam since 1990.

(v) registered under registration of societies Act. XXI of 1860, No. Rs. NL/257/B/15 of 1990-2000.

(vi) awarded Govt. concurrence by the Govt. of Assam since 2000.

(vii) accorded Govt. concurrence for introduction of General Science Method since 2000.

(viii) selected as the examination center for Common Entrance test (CET) for admission into B.Ed. Course under Dibrugarh University since 2004

(ix) accorded permanent affiliation by the affiliating University since 2006.

(x) accorded to increase intake 60 to 80 by the affiliating University in 2006.

(xi) recommended for inclusion under section (2f) & 12B under UGC Act. 1956 in 2006 by the affiliating university and at present the college has been included under section 2f of UGC act, 1956

Curricular Design and Planning

For Admission into the course:      Submission of Application for Common Entrance Test - in the month of April

Declaration of Result of CET - in the month of May.

Common Entrance Test (CET) is conducted by the Dibrugarh University, Dibrugarh, Assam in the LPGT College Centre. The admission is made strictly as per the NCTE norms.

ii) Marks of carrier performance from H.S.L.C. to Degree/Master Degree.

Land and Building

The institution is housed in its own building at the heart of the Lakhimpur Town. There are two types of buildings. One is Assam type and another is RCC building. Assam type building is used for various purposes i.e. for multi-purpose Hall, administrative staff room and class rooms.

Hostel Building and Accommodation

 

                          At present there are two rented hostels at Nakari, ward No. 3 of Lakhimpur town. One for Mens� student trainees and another for womens� student-trainees.

                          Permanent Hostel building is proposed to be built in Nakari Mouza, Nalkata of North-Lakhimpur. This is in process with the Deputy Commissioner, Lakhimpur who is the chairman of the Governing Body of the College.

There are 8050 Nos. of Books in the college Library including text books, reference books etc. Besides that there are Journals, periodicals and daily newspapers.
